Truth said with a bowed head

Prayer, it’s a one-on-one with the Creator. So why is it so few of us do it? I mean REALLY DO IT. How many people have that “never ceasing” prayer that Paul talks about in 1 Thessalonians 5:17?

Francis Chan asked the question in regards to how we should pray, “What would come out of your mouth the moment you saw God. What would be the first words you would say?” That really hit me because I tend to be one of those self-concious pray-ers who struggles to be eloquent and quotable. Quite honestly, the way I pray, you would think I was try to make it all about myself.

I think that when I stand before the Lord in glory, there aren’t going to be any words coming out of my mouth. I’m just guessing here, but I’m pretty sure that no one is going to come before the Creator God and make a statement like, “Why did you not reveal yourself to me?” (Richard Dawkins).

How much would our prayer life improve if we simply recognized Who it is we’re praying to, Who we’re talking to?

Just some thoughts from a sanctified sinner,
Mark 😀
