Skyping with Lauren’s parents in California.
Our classes here at MTC Canada begin in less than one week! This coming Monday we will begin orientation at 9:00am and we will also meet our new classmates! We have fourteen classmates in total, coming from Canada (British Colombia, Northwest Territories, & Ontario), United States (Illinois), Australia, and South Korea.
Mark has worked his final day at the ice cream factory (WOOHOO!), so we are planning several outings this week.
Please also be praying for Mark as we just found out after several blood tests this past week that he is hypoglycemic
. It’s not that this is a serious diagnosis; it just means that we will have to be changing our diet, frequency of eating, etc. Hopefully no medications will be necessary. He meets with a dietician on September 9th.
Watching some youth on the strawberry ride at the fair in Hanover.
Can you tell which one they are in? Hint, it’s the one spinning really fast, lol.
We’ve been having a blast with our youth group these past few weeks. We’ve celebrated several birthdays, went to a carnival, watched a meteor shower, stayed up past 1am multiple nights, had a spaghetti dinner fundraiser, and we also said goodbye to two students. One student returning to NTBI Jackson, and the other beginning her first semester at NTBI Jackson. Please be praying for them as classes will soon begin for them!
Lauren is now working with Kris, Mark’s sister, as her photography assistant. They went together to a maternity shoot last week, and Lauren had a blast and learned so much from Kris. You can check out their website, Lily Pond Photography
, or Lauren’s Facebook page, Lauren Elizabeth Photography

We are looking forward to being challenged and learning how to share and communicate the gospel with those who have never heard! Six days to go!
“…to preach to the Gentiles, the unsearchable riches of Christ, and to bring to light for everyone what is the plan of the mystery hidden for ages in God who created all things, so that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known…”
