We hope that you had a wonderful day with family and friends.
We are currently on our two week winter break, one of the pros and cons of being substitute teachers. We spent the first week visiting Lauren’s family in California and had a great time celebrating Christmas with them two days early, and also being able to attend the wonderful Christmas musical at NorthCreek Church. During our stay Mark was very sick, and we found out that he had pneumonia, but he recovered quickly after receiving a shot and anti-biotics. Thank you all who prayed for him during that time!
We returned to Texas on Christmas Eve and on Christmas day, instead of opening presents with the Pipes family, we received the best Christmas present of all! Lauren’s aunt gave birth to a beautiful baby girl at 8:33am, so we were able to visit them at the hospital.
Lauren also has a praise in that she has another job. She will be working as a day care teacher two days a week at FBC Grandview. Such a blessing to us as we continue to save to attend the Missionary Training Centre!
Speaking of which, we are in the process of applying for the New Tribes Mission of Canada Missionary Training! Excitement builds as we are getting closer to continuing our training. Hopefully we will be attending in the fall of 2011. For more information and some frequently asked questions, you can visit our blog post here.
Again, we want to wish you all a merry Christmas!
