It’s been a fantastic week here in sunny Jackson, Michigan. Lauren and I got back from our spring break in Canada, and have since started back into classes. We had a great time in Canada, despite the snow that fell one day. It was so good to get to see our little niece and three nephews (who have to be the cutest kids on the planet). It was also really nice to reconnect with our family, friends, and churches (Mulock Christian Fellowship, and Gorrie Bible Fellowship). Overall, our spring break was a really good time, and provided Lauren and I with a much needed break.
We got to Jackson (which, as I said before, is absolutely beautiful right now) on the 11th and then got back into classes on the 12th, it’s been nice to get back into a scheduled life after such a relaxing break, though I do miss Canada a lot.
On April 13th there was a married students social here at school. We all got together and went out to a local ice cream parlour to “eat” ice cream (I put quotation marks around the eat because I don’t think consuming that much ice cream is called “eating” more like gorging). Lauren and I got a banana split to share, not seeing that it had 6 “scoops” (again, I have scoops in quotation marks cause those were more like mountains then scoops) of ice cream. Sufficely to say, we weren’t able to finish it, and the rest of our night consisted in an ice cream induced coma.
We’ve really begun to realize just how blessed we are to be here at school and to have all of you behind us. I’ve been finding myself constantly encouraged that I can always be sure that there are people out there who are diligently praying for Lauren and I. I’ve been so encouraged just to hear that there are people who are praying for us and I thought I would finish this letter just by letting you all know that Lauren and I have payed off our entire school bill. And, in the same way as God said He would provide more abundantly then we could have asked, we have more then enough for the rest of the semester.
