Taco Soup & Marrieds Bowling Night

Wednesday was Day of Prayer at our school – it’s where instead of having classes we get into groups and pray for missionaries or for personal requests. No homework is due that day, so the marrieds planned a bowling party the night before. We had such a fun time, eating and hanging out. It was nice to be able to get together as a group and catch up on how everyone is doing, since with kids, work, and homework we rarely get to see each other.

I made taco soup last night and it was amazing and so easy! You pretty much throw in a bunch of cans and a pound of meat and just let it simmer for an hour. Mark and our neighbors chowed it down.

Here’s the recipe. (Bonus is that it’s a weight watcher’s meal).

  1. You stole my “go to meal.” If ever we can't decide what to make for a meal, it is always always taco chili/soup. It is the exact recipie and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it.

  2. Your soup looks great! I've added a can of green beans to it before, too. I've never used the ranch mix, though. And if you brown your meat the day before (or cook some extra when you brown it & freeze enough for the soup), you can just dump it all in the crock pot and come home to a yummy meal!
